CrystalPower®: Discover the magic of healing stones
Understanding the Effects of Healing Stones: What's Behind the Fascination?

The effects of healing stones refer, within the tradition of crystal healing, to the traditional attributions given to certain minerals in relation to emotional, energetic, and spiritual aspects. This is not scientifically proven – yet healing stones have accompanied humanity for over 5,000 years. From the ancient Egyptians to the Greeks, minerals were used as protection, symbols, and spiritual companions. At Crystal Paradise, we experience firsthand every day how deeply this fascination moves people. Our showroom in Feldkirchen near Munich welcomes visitors from across the DACH region – all united by the desire for genuine stones with genuine meaning.
CrystalPower®: Our In-House Brand for Consciously Chosen Healing Stones
CrystalPower® is Crystal Paradise's own product line. It stands for hand-selected stones in high-quality craftsmanship – from bracelets to water carafes to jewelry and collar collections for pets. Every product is carefully curated. Authenticity and origin come first.
From years of experience in the mineral trade, we know: a stone from a reliable source makes all the difference. Dyed or synthetic imitations are disappointing not just visually. They also lack mineralogical authenticity – and this authenticity is exactly what matters to collectors and wellness enthusiasts.

The Effects of Healing Stones: What Crystal Healing Has Passed Down for Millennia
Crystal healing is a millennia-old traditional teaching. It assigns certain properties to minerals – emotional, energetic, and symbolic. According to the Mineralienatlas, one of the largest German-language mineralogy databases, over 5,000 mineral species have been scientifically described to date. This mineralogical diversity forms the foundation for the rich tradition of crystal healing. Scientific studies do not confirm these spiritual attributions. Nevertheless, many people report positive subjective experiences when working with healing stones.
Below, we introduce some of the most popular healing stones – with mineralogical facts and the traditional properties passed down through crystal healing.
Amethyst – The Purple Classic
Amethyst is a purple variety of the quartz mineral and belongs to the oxide mineral class. Its Mohs hardness is 7. This means it's robust enough for daily use. Its main deposits are located in Brazil, Uruguay, and South Africa. It is characterized by its deep purple hue, which results from iron impurities and natural irradiation.
In crystal healing, amethyst is traditionally associated with inner peace, clarity, and balance. According to tradition, it is said to calm the mind and strengthen intuition. It is especially popular as a companion for meditation and quiet moments.

Rose Quartz – The Stone of Heart Energy
Rose quartz is also a quartz mineral with a hardness of 7 on the Mohs scale. Its delicate pink color results from trace elements such as titanium, iron, or manganese. The most important deposits are Brazil, Madagascar, and the USA.
In crystal healing, rose quartz is considered the stone of self-love and emotional warmth. It is traditionally said to open the heart and embody a gentle, loving quality. It's especially popular as a gift – for birthdays, Mother's Day, or simply as a personal token of affection.
Black Tourmaline – Protection and Grounding
Black tourmaline, also called schorl, belongs to the ring silicate group. Its hardness ranges from 7 to 7.5 on the Mohs scale. It is mined primarily in Brazil, Namibia, and Pakistan. Schorl is the most common tourmaline mineral and is known for its intense, deep black color.
In crystal healing, black tourmaline is traditionally attributed a grounding and protective effect. According to tradition, it is said to neutralize negative energies and stabilize the energy field. Those who place it in their home or wear it on the body value it as a quiet companion in everyday life.
Caring for Healing Stones Properly: How to Preserve Their Energy

Healing stones require regular care. This applies both to physical cleaning and to energetic clearing. According to the scientific mineralogy reference Mindat.org – the world's largest mineral database with over 5,700 documented mineral species – minerals vary greatly in their sensitivity to water, heat, and light. This also affects care recommendations. In our shop, we recommend the following basic rules:
- Cleaning under running water: Many stones can be briefly rinsed under lukewarm water (maximum 30 °C). Exceptions apply to water-sensitive minerals like selenite or malachite.
- Energetic clearing: Place stones in sunlight for at least 2 hours, or in moonlight overnight (about 8 hours). Be careful that amethyst doesn't tolerate direct sunlight – it can fade.
- Charging on rock crystal: A rock crystal cluster charges other stones energetically. Let the stones rest on it for at least 12 hours.
- Smoke cleansing with sage: Surround the stones with the smoke of white sage or palo santo for about 1 minute.
- Regularity: Care for your stones every 4 weeks – especially after intensive use.

Healing Stones in Everyday Life: Simple Ways to Integrate Them
Healing stones don't have to be used in complicated ways. Many people integrate them quite naturally into their daily lives. Here are some proven approaches:
Wearing Them as Jewelry
A bracelet with healing stones is the most direct form of contact. It rests on the wrist, accompanies you through the day, and serves as a conscious reminder of an intention or an inner wish. Our CrystalPower® bracelets are available in various designs – also in a premium gift box.
As Decoration in the Home
An amethyst geode in the living room, a rose quartz on the desk, or a rock crystal in the bedroom – healing stones are aesthetic companions. They bring nature into the home and create an atmosphere of calm and style.
As Water Stones
The CrystalPower® water carafes allow minerals to be brought into contact with drinking water. The stones are placed in a separate glass container within the carafe – with no direct contact with the water. This preserves the symbolic aspect without any mineralogical risks.
In the Sauna and While Relaxing
Heat-resistant stones such as jasper can be used in the sauna. We've put together which stones are suitable: Crystals in the Sauna: Which Stones Are Traditionally Chosen for the Sauna Ritual?.
