A simple entry-level stereo microscope with 10–30x magnification is perfectly sufficient. Alternatively, a good hand lens with 10x magnification works very well for starters. Most collectors start exactly this way – and are then completely surprised by the wealth of detail that suddenly appears.
How are micromounts shipped?
Each piece is already fixed in a collector's box or securely packaged so that it safely survives transport. We carefully cushion all shipments and ship from Munich – you will usually receive your delivery within 2–4 working days. For delicate pieces, we use additional foam inserts.
