Mineral Slices – Natural Elegance as a Decorative Element

Mineral slices are thinly cut, polished cross-sections of genuine stones and minerals that reveal unique color patterns, inclusions, and structures through their cut. As decorative elements, they combine aesthetic appeal with the unmistakable beauty of nature – each piece a unique specimen directly from the Earth's interior.
At Crystal Paradise, all slices are hand-selected. With many years of experience in mineral trading and our own showroom in Feldkirchen near Munich, we know the quality differences precisely – and only offer you pieces that truly impress in terms of cut, transparency, and color.
Our Selection of Mineral Slices at a Glance

Our assortment includes slices from a variety of high-quality minerals and healing stones. Whether delicate pastel shades, intense green hues, or crystal-clear surfaces – you'll find the perfect piece for every taste and interior style:
- Agate slices: Known for their typical banding, color gradients, and sometimes transparent zones – in lithotherapy, agate is traditionally considered a stone for calm and inner balance
- Rose quartz slices: Soft pink, delicate, and noble – according to spiritual tradition, a symbol of love and harmony
- Rock crystal slices: Almost clear and translucent, impressive in windows or as light catchers
- Malachite slices: Intense green with characteristic layered patterns, a real eye-catcher
- Slices in various sizes – from small accents (approx. 5–10 cm) to large statement pieces (20 cm and larger)
- Surfaces carefully cut and polished for optimal display of colors and patterns

Origin and Quality of Our Slices
The rough stones for our mineral slices come from renowned mining areas worldwide – agate, for example, from Brazil and Uruguay, malachite predominantly from the Democratic Republic of Congo, rose quartz from Madagascar and Brazil. Each stone is carefully checked for purity, color, and cut quality after extraction. According to Wikipedia, agate is a microcrystalline variety of quartz formed by concentric banding – precisely these natural structures make each slice an absolute unique piece. We transparently label treated or artificially colored stones so that you always know what you are getting.
Versatile Use – Decoration, Meditation, and More
Mineral slices are surprisingly versatile. On windowsills, they fully play with the light; as coasters for candles, glasses, or jewelry, they combine function with style; and on meditation or altar spaces, they set powerful accents. They are also ideal as gifts: personal, high-quality, and with a natural origin that resonates. You can find inspiration for special occasions in our blog post about heart-shaped agate slices with gold trim. Frequent Questions

What is the difference between agate slices and rose quartz slices?
Agate slices impress with their natural banding and color gradients – from white over grey to strong brown and orange tones. Due to their microcrystalline structure, they are very hard and durable. Rose quartz slices, on the other hand, captivate with a uniform, delicate pink and a soft, velvety radiance. In lithotherapy, rose quartz is traditionally associated with love and harmony, while agate is considered a balancing companion according to spiritual tradition. Both varieties are available as decorative slices in our assortment.
How do I properly care for mineral slices?
Mineral slices are easy to care for: Wipe them regularly with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh cleaning agents and direct, prolonged sunlight, as intense UV radiation can lighten some mineral colors over time. Place slices on a stable, soft surface to avoid scratches on the polished surface. For more delicate varieties like malachite, particularly gentle handling without prolonged water contact is recommended.
