Gemstone water with rose quartz can be produced in two ways. Both methods are simple and take little time.

Direct Method

In the direct method, the cleaned stone is placed directly into drinking water. Rose quartz is well suited for this because it does not release toxic substances into the water and has a hardness of 7. Nevertheless, the following points should be observed:

• Only use natural, untreated, and undyed stones
• Rinse stones thoroughly under running cold water before each use
• Keep water temperature below 40 °C – higher temperatures can cause stress cracks

• Allow water to infuse for at least 3–8 hours, preferably overnight

Indirect Method

In the indirect method, the stone is placed outside the water – for example, under a glass carafe. According to tradition, the energetic result is said to be comparable. This method is particularly recommended for stones where direct water application is uncertain.
