The pyrite, also known assulfur pyriteoriron pyrite, is a verycommon mineral from the class ofsulfides and sulfosalts. Pyrite is also known as "fool's gold" or "iron sulfide".
The specimen weighs 240g.
Chemically speaking, it is the cubic modification ofiron(II) disulfide (FeS₂)and thus consists of iron and sulfur in a molar ratio of 1:2. Pyrite is in every formopaqueand predominantly develops idiomorphic crystalsin the form ofcubesorpentagon dodecahedra. Alsooctahedraanddisdodecahedraare common, as well as combinations between these forms. The crystal faces often show a characteristicstriationand in a fresh state a vividmetallic luster. With aMohs hardness of 6 to 6.5Pyrite belongs to the hard minerals, which cansimilarly to the reference mineral orthoclase just barely be scratched with a file.
Category: Sulfide mineral

Pyrite is the most common sulfide mineral. It is often mistaken for gold, hence the nickname "fool's gold." Nevertheless, pyrite is sometimes found in association with small amounts of gold.
Pyrite was formerly used as a source of sulfur, but today it is only a byproduct ore for sulfur and iron. Pyrite was polished and used as a mirror by indigenous peoples in earlier times.

Pyrite is often revered as a protective stone and can remind us that true treasures are often found in their raw state. Let yourself be enchanted by its natural beauty and discover what stone lore attributes to it.

- Spiritual meaning: Pyrite is often called the stone of manifestation and is said to help turn our wishes and goals into reality. In stone lore, pyrite is traditionally associated with drive, self-confidence, and creative energy, which is why it is popular among artists and writers.
Feel free to check out my other offerings as well. There you'll find, among other things, apophyllite specimens, labradorite, stilbite, and amazonite.
On a wooden base from the range, this specimen really comes into its own.
Goes well with: Stones for energy blockages, more pyrite in our range, more minerals from Pakistan
