BLV Nature Guide "Fossils" by Helmut Mayr. BLV Verlagsgesellschaft, Munich.
The handy identification guide presents common fossils of invertebrate animals and plants using color photos. The genera are each organized by characteristics, occurrence, and important details; this is followed by a description of the pictured specimen. Fossils were deliberately included that you can find yourself or acquire at a fossil fair – along with pseudofossils that are easily mistaken for real fossils in the field.
This makes the volume a practical companion when you want to identify your own finds. The pocket format fits in a jacket pocket and can be taken along into the field.
Condition: used
This is a used copy. The book has been read and shows signs of use – visible are storage and reading marks, bumped corners and edges, crease marks on the back cover, as well as a price tag from the previous owner on the back.
The photos show the actual copy being offered.
