From our own experience, we can say: no fair captures the pulse of the mineral community as precisely as the Munich Show. The Messe München grounds offer over 30,000 square meters of space for hundreds of exhibitors. From small family businesses to international wholesalers – the entire range of the mineral and gemstone world is represented here.

The 2025 edition was especially well attended. On the very first day, more than 8,000 visitors streamed through the halls. The atmosphere was electrifying – familiar faces, new contacts, and stones rarely seen elsewhere.

Encounters with International Dealers

Particularly impressive was the international diversity of exhibitors. Dealers from Brazil, Madagascar, Pakistan, Morocco, and Ukraine presented pieces directly from the mining regions. This time, we were especially interested in antimonite from Chinese deposits. These needle-shaped, metallically shining crystals belong mineralogically to the antimonite group (stibnite) with a Mohs hardness of only 2. • Rainbow Fluorite from Illinois (USA) – in impressive specimens with intense color zoning from violet through green to blue. Fluorite crystallizes in the cubic system and reaches a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale.
• Garnet Crystals from the Urals (Russia) – deep dark red almandine garnets with flawless crystal formation. Garnet is one of the oldest known gemstones in human history and has been used for over 5,000 years.
• Aquamarine Rough from Brazil – untreated columnar crystals with a transparency that was simply breathtaking.
• Giant Amethyst Geodes from Uruguay – some specimens weighed more than 40 kilograms and glowed in a deep blue-violet.
• Kunzite from Afghanistan – a lilac-colored spodumene crystal with extraordinary pleochroism; hardly any dealer had specimens like these.
