The last few weeks we have learned a lot as we
- set up the shop
- I opened shops on Etsy, eBay, Instagram and Facebook
- all the administrative things that have to be taken into account, such as business registration, insurance, having a side job approved by the employer, tax advisor, ...
- Establishment of a supplier base and first orders from home and abroad, including customs procedures, ...
As a “small business” or as it is called in German, “small business owner”, we only have limited resources at our disposal.
We want to give you a little insight into how we organized ourselves with these few resources:
Goods Receipt:
- Our billiards room was converted into our small logistics center
- The pool table is now our workplace for receiving goods


- We put a small photo studio on the table

Storage:
- We repurposed old IKEA cabinets from my daughter's room as shelves and
- ordered additional mobile shelves

- We also thought about the accessories.

Goods issue:
- The pool table also functions as a packing table
- We recycle the packaging material that we have saved from the incoming goods department in order to generate as little waste as possible!
